Here I will briefly go through some of the more common natural cures that I see mentioned on the internet and attempt to let you know how well they really work.

Firstly, we have ice. Yup, good ol' ice is often mentioned as a 'cure' for hemorrhoids. But let's get this straight - ice can be quite effective at temporary relief from the symptoms of hemorrhoids, but will do nothing for you in terms of curing them. Yes, it will numb the pain and might help with swelling a little, but that's all. Don't use ice as a cure because it just won't work!

Secondly, I did come across something that was quite effective, and that is Red Sage. This natural herb seems to have some great astringent properties that not only really help to reduce the swelling of hemorrhoids, but also provide some relief also during the process.
